Role: Product Lead, Deep Fake

Location: Mountain View, CA (In-Office)

Salary/Compensation: $200k – $250k base + equity

Our client is a frontier AI company building ethical AI infrastructure for voice generation and deepfake detection. Backed by $23M from strategic investors including Google, Sony, Okta, and In-Q-Tel (CIA), they serve government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and law enforcement. Their mission is to ensure trust and authenticity in the generative AI era.

With dual capabilities in AI voice generation and detection, they hold a defensible position in an emerging category with no established standards. Major public deployments are planned for 2026, making this a critical moment for category-defining product leadership.

Position Overview:

The Product Lead will own the deepfake detection product end-to-end. Reporting to senior technical leadership, this role combines product strategy, enterprise customer ownership, and hands-on execution. You will translate complex customer requirements into clear product direction, guide ML research priorities, and build repeatable integration playbooks that enable scale across regulated industries.

This is a zero-to-one product role with live customer commitments and no existing benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own enterprise customer relationships from discovery through rollout and expansion
• Translate customer needs into PRDs, roadmaps, and prioritization frameworks
• Partner with engineering leadership and ML researchers on product and model direction
• Define success metrics and delivery milestones for customer deployments
• Build integration playbooks and reference architectures for API/SDK implementations
• Support integrations across telecommunications, banking, insurance, and government use cases
• Use GenAI tools to accelerate PRDs, research synthesis, prototypes, and customer-facing materials
• Act as a key stakeholder in sprint planning and ongoing product execution

Qualifications:

✅ You likely fit if you:

• Have 5+ years of experience with a technical background (engineering or solutions engineering)
• Have built zero-to-one products without established benchmarks or playbooks
• Have owned enterprise customer relationships end-to-end
• Understand API/SDK integration patterns and complex technical systems
• Can interface credibly with ML researchers on model capabilities and limitations
• Use GenAI tools proactively in your product workflow (PRDs, research, presentations)
• Are comfortable prototyping independently using AI tools (coding not required)
• Thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable learning new verticals quickly
• Are disciplined, scrappy, and highly accountable
• Are mission-driven and comfortable working with government or regulated customers
• Can commit to 4 days onsite in Mountain View starting Q1 2026

• You are a pure PM without technical or customer-facing experience
• You prefer established playbooks, clean swim lanes, or narrowly scoped roles
• You do not actively use GenAI tools in your current work
• You require a fully remote role
• You are uncomfortable with government, law enforcement, or regulated environments
• You are focused on short-term resume building rather than long-term ownership
