Location: REMOTE near a major International Airport (U.S.) – Must be Willing to Travel up to 50-60% of the Time

• Salary Range: $110,000–$130,000 Potential salary increase for candidates based in specific higher-cost locations (e.g., Chicago +$10k, NYC +$20k, DC +$15k).

Our client, a national leader in structural preservation, is expanding its specialized engineering team—and needs a high-mobility Structure Engineer to inspect, diagnose, and repair complex parking structures across the U.S.

You’ll use cutting-edge inspection tech (like smart glasses for live technical guidance, GPR, and imaging tools) to lead rapid-response structural assessments.

This isn’t a desk job—and it’s not for everyone. The Sr Structural Engineer responds to high-priority projects across different states, performing on-site inspections, diagnosing concrete and structural issues, and recommending long-term repair or preservation strategies. Think of it as structural engineering meets field ops.

💡 What You’ll Do

• Conduct on-site structural inspections of parking garages, focusing on concrete durability, load-bearing issues, and repair design.
• Utilize state-of-the-art technologies and non-destructive testing methods (NDE) to conduct comprehensive structural assessments across various geographies.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for high-priority national accounts.
• Diagnose complex structural issues and develop engineering solutions
• Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the home office
• Create detailed engineering reports and recommendations for clients and provide expert recommendations that align with industry standards and client needs.
• Collect data via non-destructive testing methods (e.g., ground-penetrating radar, corrosion mapping).
• Draft assessment reports and repair solutions, collaborating with design teams remotely.

🔧 What You Need

(Non-negotiables in bold)

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a Related Field (Master’s Preferred)
• PE License.
• 5–7+ years in structural engineering, ideally with concrete/material science focus.
• Willingness to travel 50-60%+ (typical trips: 1-2 days/week).
• Experience with field assessments, inspections, or forensic engineering.
• The ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while working remotely and traveling.
• Strong Written and Verbal Skills for Effective Technical Presentations.
• Grit + adaptability—you’ll work independently much of the time but collaborate under tight deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 Annually (Based on Experience and Location with adjustments based on high cost to live in areas-Chicago +$10k, NYC +$20k, DC +$15k.)
