Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop operations and customer service staff to support productivity, growth, and service excellence.
• Oversee staffing needs, performance evaluations, training, and workflow planning.
• Ensure efficient execution of import/export operations across ocean, air, and domestic transport.
• Monitor KPIs (on-time performance, file accuracy, compliance, etc.) and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with corporate departments (Finance, Compliance, Procurement, IT) to maintain seamless operational alignment.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and service providers.
• Resolve escalated service issues with urgency and professionalism.
• Ensure the branch consistently delivers exceptional customer experience and retention.
• Own branch P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance.
• Identify revenue opportunities and cost efficiencies to maximize branch profitability.
• Support and partner with the Business Development team to drive new business and strengthen existing accounts.
• Provide insights on market trends, regional opportunities, and competitive landscape.
• Represent with professionalism in customer meetings, industry events, and vendor engagements.
• 7+ years of experience in international logistics/freight forwarding, including import and export operations.
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience within a logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of ocean, air, and domestic transportation.
• Proven experience managing P&L and meeting financial targets.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to navigate escalations and build relationships.
• Proficiency in logistics systems and MS Office; experience with CargoWise is a plus.
