Portfolio Manager – San Fernando Valley with a Focus on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Experience

Recognized as a top 50 community bank with assets ranging from $3 billion to $10 billion, we are seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager for the San Fernando Valley with a strong focus on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service a portfolio of existing loan relationships with a specialized focus on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) lending.
  • Build and cultivate borrower relationships, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the underwriting process, including structuring and pricing loans, conducting credit analysis, monitoring collateral requirements, and securing credit approval.
  • Stay informed about financial and market trends, analyzing their impact on the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with relationship bankers on new and existing loan requests and special projects.
  • Assume a senior-level role, potentially managing Analysts and Loan Specialists.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of + years of experience in commercial banking, relationship management, underwriting, credit analysis, or other directly finance-related roles.
  • Knowledge of various types of loans, credit analysis, financial statement spreading and analysis, risk analysis, credit scoring, and loan documentation.
  • Familiarity with banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong credit skills in underwriting, financial modeling, valuations, and policy adherence.
  • Solid customer service, relationship-building, organizational, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
