Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 8.30am to 5pm

Overview:

Tactical Talent Recruitment is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a state-of-the-art warehouse facility in County Kildare. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee a team of approximately 20 warehouse operatives, ensuring that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with health and safety standards. Experience with SAP is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods
• Supervise, support and motivate a team of circa 20 warehouse staff to meet operational targets
• Oversee and ensure accurate inventory management and stock control processes using SAP
• Coordinate and monitor the performance of logistics and warehousing activities to maintain optimal efficiency
• Assist with the planning and implementation of warehouse layouts and workflows
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Support training and development of warehouse staff
• Liaise with other departments (e.g., buying/procurement, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth flow of goods and information
• Help troubleshoot issues, investigate discrepancies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or assistant management role
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with SAP (Warehouse Management or Inventory modules)
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of health & safety standards within a warehouse environment
• Forklift license (advantageous but not essential)
