The Client

Our client is a long-established retail and agri supplies business serving the local farming and rural community. The store operates across agri hardware, animal feeds, fertilisers, fencing, drainage, and agricultural equipment.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the Agri Counter, providing sales and customer service within a busy agri retail environment, while supporting stock, systems, and day-to-day counter operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the Agri Counter, ensuring prompt and courteous service
• Sell agri hardware, animal feeds, fertilisers, fencing, drainage, gates, and farm equipment
• Assist customers with product selection based on practical on-farm requirements
• Process sales, returns, and related documentation in line with company procedures
• Support purchasing processes, including checking supplier deliveries and reporting discrepancies
• Assist with receipting of goods, stock input, and follow-up on supplier credits where required
• Maintain accurate stock levels and report damaged or slow-moving stock
• Support merchandising and ensure the counter, yard, and store areas are clean and presentable
• Use in-house IT systems for purchasing, stock, and point-of-sale processes
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety across stores and yard areas

Ideal Candidate

• Some knowledge of farming or agricultural environments
• Able to engage confidently with a farming and agri-based customer base, with an understanding of practical on-farm requirements
• Experience in counter sales, trade counter, or retail environments is advantageous
• Organised, dependable, and customer-focused approach

Package & Benefits

• Salary €32,000 – €34,000 DOE
• Permanent, full-time role
• Shift patterns of 8:30am – 5:30pm or 9:00am – 6:00pm
