Our Architecture and Building Engineering Group is actively seeking a dynamic Supervisor to lead our Plumbing and Fire Protection unit. We’re looking for a leader who thrives on solving complex challenges, excels in mentorship, and is eager to inspire and guide a team toward success.



Responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Provide strong leadership and support to the team to ensure department policies and procedures are followed
  • Oversee team production and ensure quality control measures to maintain high technical standards on all technical work
  • Actively support and contribute to business development initiatives
  • Review and approve staff timesheets and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Mentoring staff and providing professional development opportunities
  • Manage staff resources and balance workloads effectively by collaborating with other managers.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to strategically expand the team and enhance skill sets.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager regarding strategic planning related to growth and development of the team.
  • Some travel may be required.



Qualifications:


The successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling 7 years of relevant experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, plumbing, or architectural engineering (or relevant degree) plus 3 years of experience;
  • OR associate degree in mechanical, or architectural engineering (or relevant degree) plus 5 years of experience;
  • OR no degree plus 7 years of relevant experience


Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience strongly preferred
  • PE License in any state with the ability to obtain in other states strongly preferred
  • Prior Supervisory experience a plus
  • Designing plumbing systems for building projects
  • Designing fire protection systems for building projects
  • Managing projects and providing technical oversight
  • Leading a team and managing workload
  • Mentoring project staff
  • Business development tasks (client relationships and proposal development)
