SUMMARY
Develop and manage projects for highly complex manufacturer of electro-mechanical integrated systems in a diverse, fast-paced environment. Requires technical and commercial interaction with various internal and external organizations, including Business Development, Design Engineering and Operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meets with customers and internal team members to scope electro-mechanical equipment projects and develop comprehensive plans.
- Reviews engineering documentation packages, identifies and closes gaps in preparation of launching quoting opportunities.
- Organizes and structures technical data packages from customers to support opportunity quoting and launch activities.
- Identifies appropriate supply chain partners, schedules and leads materials and supply chain team in completing quoting activities. Rolls up material and labor cost to accurately quote opportunities to customers.
- Negotiates project deliverables, including price and lead-time with customers.
- Acts as voice of the customer with internal organizations, ensuring project deliverables are understood and milestones managed.
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Defines appropriate inventory and purchasing parameters (min order quantities, restocking levels, etc.).
- Creates and reports material shortage information.
- Recognizes a variety of issues, problems, or opportunities in own process and determines whether action is needed.
- Attends production meetings and actively participates in solutioning unplanned events that are impacting project timelines and customer commits.
- Be the subject matter expert (SME) related to assigned projects and become the spokesperson and primary contact that customers and internal team members go to for guidance on projects.
- Reviews PO’s/Contracts to ensure all requirements are captured in submittal to customers.
- Actively participate in weekly contract review sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Computer skills, including ERP and Microsoft Office products
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel i.e. macros, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP
- Familiarity and proficiency with Power BI, Smartsheet and MS Project.
- Excellent customer service skills, including effective listening
- Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Flexibility to work overtime, holidays and off-shift hours to support company requirements as needed
- Able to travel up to 25% as needed
- Valid driver’s license
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, material management or any related field of study a plus
- PMP Certification a plus
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in project management within a manufacturing environment; experience with Global Shop ERP system a plus
