Title: Junior Electrical Designer  

Client: Revolution Engineering 

Location: Remote - United States

Compensation: Starts at $80,000+, based on experience

We are looking for an Electrical Designer to join our team this fall!  

 

Revolution Engineering is a growing and innovative firm, and we’re looking for a Junio Electrical Designer to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who’s passionate about electrical design, eager to grow their skills, and ready to contribute to exciting projects in a collaborative environment. As a Junior Electrical Designer, you will support the design of electrical systems for various building projects under the guidance of senior staff and engineers. Your work will contribute to delivering quality, code-compliant electrical designs while gaining hands-on experience in the field.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assist in creating electrical design documents and drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Work from redlines and direction provided by engineers and senior designers.
  • Perform basic calculations and assist in code evaluations with oversight.
  • Participate in internal and external coordination meetings.
  • Support the preparation and packaging of design deliverables for client submission.
  • Help respond to RFIs and submittals with input from senior staff.
  • Attend site visits to support field observations and reporting.
  • Maintain and grow proficiency in design software and industry knowledge through ongoing learning.


 

What You Need To Be Successful:  

  • Technical & Professional Requirements 
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit 
  • 2-3 years of experience with electrical systems in building design. 
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems for buildings (lighting, power distribution, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines. 
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and drafting teams. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Preferred Qualifications  
  • 2+ years of experience in Electrical design 
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or working toward one
  • Experience working remotely or in a hybrid environment
  • Familiarity with building codes and permit processes.
