Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Denver, CO

Compensation: $136k - $207k


 

We’re hiring a Senior (or Principal) Electrical Engineer to join the EEE team and help us propel our growth. We design, engineer and manufacture conventional and custom low-voltage switchboards and switchgear for A.C. and D.C. industrial applications; medical; data center facilities and telecom industries.

 

What you’ll be doing –

  • Gather requirements and specifications from customer and use judgement to determine whether the customer’s needs are within EEE’s core competencies
  • Fully own projects from concept through completion, including design, support through manufacturing, testing, start-up and/or troubleshooting support as needed
  • Uphold our environment of continuous learning – Learn from our senior-most engineers, and provide guidance and mentorship to our more junior team members


What we offer –

  • Estimated total compensation of $136k - $207k annually
  • Includes base salary of $100k - $145k, plus bonus

What you’ll need to succeed –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, including experience with field-based startup work or in a manufacturing environment
  • Practical project experience with A.C. and D.C. industrial applications through 5000 amps, including design familiarity with:
  • Automatic and Manual Transfer Switches
  • Isolation/Bypass Automatic and Manual Transfer Switches
  • Engine Control Systems associated with multiple standby engine applications
  • Integrated Switchboard Metering Systems.
  • Switchboard design and layout of UL 891 and UL 1558 lineups based on project requirements.
  • Modbus & Bacnet Communication systems for remote access of circuit breakers; A.C. meters; and 3rd party devices that are integral to the final product.
  • Experience with protective relay and ground fault systems.
  • Produce A.C. single line and three line schematics; wiring and external connection diagrams using Autocad.
  • Work with manufacturing shop floor personnel to answer any questions based on the project drawing set provided.
  • Control wiring concepts; applications and best methods based on practical experience.
  • PLC programming of Siemens S7 PLC based systems and related HMI devices would considered a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Denver office, with potential for up to 20% travel to customer sites.
  • Review customer provided project one line drawing sets; written specifications to determine if the project is applicable to our engineered products and manufacturing capabilities.
