About the Role:


As a Technology Systems Designer, you will be at the forefront of designing advanced communication, security, and audio-visual systems. Your expertise will guide the layout of technology rooms, ensuring they meet our high standards and clients' needs. This role involves:


  • Collaborating with clients, construction staff, and project teams in technical meetings.
  • Contributing to the development and review of technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, models, and construction cost estimates.
  • Performing construction administration duties and site inspections to ensure project success.
  • Embracing regular travel to various project sites, providing you with diverse experiences and learning opportunities.


Requirements:

  • Certification: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification, or ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP). Candidates should be able or willing to obtain at least one certification within two years of hire.
  • Experience: A combination of education and experience, with a total of seven (7) years relevant to technology systems design. Options include:
  • An associate degree (or higher) in Technology Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience in building design or construction, with a preference for technology systems experience.
  • Without a degree, at least seven (7) years of experience in building design, including at least four (4) years focused on technology systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in designing ICT systems for new and renovation building projects.
  • Experience with security electronic systems, low voltage, and/or electrical systems design.
  • Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
  • Certifications or registrations from Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), or related.
