Our client is a long-standing Construction Manager and General Contractor with decades of successful, stable, and safe work throughout Michigan and surrounding states. Their primary project portfolio includes multi-family, senior living, and historic renovation projects, with additional involvement in commercial work. Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead project teams in the Kalamazoo region.

The Project Manager Position

The company is seeking a Project Manager who brings strong problem-solving abilities and the leadership skills necessary to drive projects to successful completion across a range of building types. This is a dynamic, fast-moving role that requires overseeing multiple projects at once, guiding them from preconstruction planning through final closeout. Beyond technical construction knowledge, success in this position depends on clear communication, thoughtful schedule and cost control, and the ability to manage priorities while keeping the overall project objectives in focus.

This role involves close coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors, as well as regular interaction with clients and ownership groups. The Project Manager is responsible for keeping all stakeholders informed on progress, budget status, and upcoming milestones. Working in partnership with the Superintendent, the Project Manager helps ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Project Manager Position:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
• Strong understanding of construction processes with proven experience working for a
• General Contractor and/or Construction Manager
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related discipline preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
• Unwavering commitment to jobsite safety and best practices
• Ability to lead teams and keep projects aligned with schedule, budget, and expectations
• Familiarity with Procore or similar project management platforms is a plus
