Sales Executive / Business Development Manager
Remote (East Coast)
We are looking for dynamic and results-driven Sales Executives and Business Development Managers with experience in event sales, sponsorship sales, conferences, and exhibitions. This is a new business-focused role (not account management) where you will be responsible for generating revenue by selling sponsorships, exhibition space, and corporate event opportunities to B2B corporate director-level clients.
This role offers a clear path for career progression, with opportunities for training, development,
and advancement to senior and director-level positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify and close new sponsorship, exhibition, and event sales opportunities.
- Sales Process Management: Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing.
- Industry Expertise: Utilize knowledge of the events, conferences, and exhibition industries to develop tailored sales approaches.
- Client Engagement: Sell to corporate decision-makers at the director level, ensuring high-value partnerships.
- Market Research & Prospecting: Use Sales Navigator, CRM tools, and LinkedIn to identify and engage with potential clients.
- Global Market Reach: Work with a provided Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and proactively identify new business opportunities globally.
- Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas and revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in events, conferences, or exhibitions.
- Experience in sponsorship sales, event sales, or corporate event sales (not software or SaaS sales).
- Strong B2B sales background, selling to corporate director-level executives.
- Proven track record in pitching, negotiation, and closing high-value deals.
- Proficiency in using Sales Navigator, CRM systems, and sales tools.
- A minimum of 500+ LinkedIn connections and experience leveraging LinkedIn for sales.- Self-motivated, target-driven, and passionate about new business development.
