Our client, a leading innovator in the digital media and news sector, is seeking a talented Senior Graphic Designer to join their dynamic Brand & Strategic Marketing team. This fully remote opportunity empowers you to shape creative campaigns for a diverse portfolio of local news markets nationwide, with a focus on driving digital subscription growth.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and execution of subscription-focused advertising campaigns across digital, social, email, and print platforms.
- Edit and produce engaging video content that communicates the value of digital news to a broad audience.
- Ensure all creative deliverables meet brand standards and uphold the highest quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including development and UI/UX—to brand and market new subscription products such as mobile apps and podcasts.
- Translate creative objectives into actionable strategies that support organizational goals.
- Review timelines, deliverables, and budgets for freelance-driven projects, providing insights and recommendations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Serve as the team’s expert on Adobe Creative Cloud, demonstrating advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Use strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to address the needs of a diverse, deadline-driven client base.
- Work closely with product and development teams to ensure cohesive and intuitive user experiences across web and mobile applications.
- Apply best practices in user experience design to optimize the look, feel, and functionality of digital products, enhancing engagement and usability across platforms.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of design and creative experience in a news organization, digital/creative agency, or consumer branding environment.
- Proven experience creating and editing assets for media brands.
- Demonstrated success in developing email and social media campaigns for brands.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, or a related field.
- Expertise in graphic design, video editing, and email marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of brand attributes and the ability to translate them into impactful visual communications.
- Exceptional project management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio or online work samples showcasing design and video editing expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for the mission and impact of local news in communities.
- Experience with digital subscriptions, email newsletters, and news marketing.
- Availability to work general CST hours, Monday through Friday.
