The Role:

This position calls for an intermediate-to-senior Full Stack Developer with a proven track record of building systems from the ground up and a deep understanding of their architecture. The backend is driven by Python, while the frontend leverages JavaScript—experience with Angular, React, or similar frameworks will be valued. A key requirement is advanced, hands-on expertise with Docker and Linux, going far beyond surface-level familiarity. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience with databases—whether AWS, Azure, SQL, or similar—paired with a strong grasp of how they work at a mechanical level. An AI background or previous startup experience will be considered strong assets.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance full stack applications
• Build backend systems in Python and develop user interfaces in JavaScript frameworks
• Architect, manage, and optimise Docker and Linux environments at an advanced level
• Work with a range of database technologies, ensuring performance and stability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, innovative solutions
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across the stack

Requirements:

• Intermediate-to-senior Full Stack Developer experience. 5+ years experience in development.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and JavaScript (Angular, React, or equivalent)
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Docker and Linux
• Strong database architecture and optimisation knowledge
• Experience in AI technologies or startup environments is an asset
• Based in Montreal, with flexibility for 100% remote work and occasional in-office visits
