The Opportunity
As an Assurance Manager, you will take on a pivotal role in managing assurance engagements, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and review services. Key Responsibilities
As the Assurance Manager, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:
Leadership in Assurance Services
- Oversee and manage all aspects of assurance engagements, including financial statement audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead planning, execution, and completion of audits while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during assurance engagements, building and maintaining strong relationships that enhance client satisfaction and trust.
- Understand clients’ specific needs and provide tailored assurance solutions that align with their organizational objectives.
Team Development and Mentorship
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing guidance on technical issues and fostering an environment of continuous learning.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the team’s technical expertise and professional skills.
- Lead teams in the execution of assurance projects, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the assurance practice.
- Prepare and present reports on engagement outcomes, client feedback, and market insights to senior leadership.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the engagement process.
- Review financial statements and reports prepared by junior staff, providing constructive feedback and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
As the Assurance Manager, you will bring:
- CPA designation.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on assurance services, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations related to audits and reviews.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to client service and relationship building.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of providing actionable insights.
