The Opportunity

You’ll be responsible for installing rolled vinyl decking systems and vinyl railings, working on-site with builders, homeowners, and the Alpha team to deliver high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities

As the Vinyl Railing Installer, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

1. Installation & Quality

• Measure and cut materials precisely to minimize waste and ensure flawless fit.
• Install rolled vinyl decking systems and components, including inside/outside corners, penetrations, and flashings, to a high-end finish standard.
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds Alpha’s quality benchmarks and complies with relevant building codes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation, ensuring minimal delays and consistent quality.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.

2. Team Collaboration & Customer Service

• Work closely with builders, site supervisors, and homeowners to ensure every finished product meets the highest standard of quality and craftsmanship.
• Support and mentor new installers, helping build a skilled and capable team.
• Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service to increase customer retention and satisfaction.
• Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork while upholding a safe, respectful job site.

Qualifications

As the Vinyl Railing Installer, you will bring:

• Proven experience in vinyl decking and railing installation
• Previous experience in a construction, home building or renovation industry is required
• Carpentry experience or certification or working towards a certification is an asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and project specifications
• Ownership of hand tools (hammer, level, tape, chalk line, cats paw, speed square, pouch, etc.)
• Knowledge of deck-related building codes and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Reliable and consistently punctual with an eye for detail and exceptional work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites
