KEY RESPONSBILILTIES

As the Senior Bookkeeper you will work safely and collaboratively and are responsible for:

Bookkeeping & Financial Management:

  • Deliver comprehensive bookkeeping services and provide customized practices to fit client-specific needs for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial transactions of multiple clients including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Record and review journal entries and perform adjustments ensuring accuracy.
  • Perform reconciliation of financial documents and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review financial documents for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.

Team Support:

  • Support and collaborate with the team to create a collaborative work environment, sharing knowledge and insights that enhance efficiencies.
  • Provide mentorship to junior bookkeepers in bookkeeping best practices, elevating their skills and optimize processes.
  • Demonstrate an interest in professional development with the goal of progressing into a leadership role.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information and lead communication with external payroll service providers to ensure top-tier service for assigned clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, meeting to discuss financial documents, building strong trusting relationships through delivery of high-quality service.
  • Support clients with developing and managing of budgets, providing insight and analysis to assist with making informed financial decisions.


QUALIFICATIONS

As the Senior Bookkeeper, you will bring:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare and clearly present information to clients and team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Accurate, organized, and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain sustained attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
  • Resourceful and proactive in finding solutions and driving continuous improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and use discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
