Senior Claims Adjuster

Harrison Gray Search has been asked by a growing insurance organization to identify a Senior Claims Adjuster to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to handle complex liability claims—including asbestos, environmental, and other latent injury matters—while working in a highly collaborative and flexible environment.

What You’ll Do
- Handle complex liability and latent injury claims (asbestos, environmental, molestation, toxic torts, etc.) in compliance with procedures and authority levels.
- Apply legal and technical expertise to determine liability, coverage, and strategy.
- Develop and execute case strategies, including evaluation, settlement negotiations, and litigation management.
- Lead roundtable discussions and provide consultation on high-exposure claims.
- Monitor quality control, establish and adjust reserves, and apply cost-containment measures.
- Partner with internal and external counsel on litigation, including budgeting and defense coordination.
- Conduct periodic claim audits and contribute to continuous process improvement.
What You Bring

5+ years of experience in claims handling, or a licensed attorney with transferable litigation experience (GL, PL, toxic tort, asbestos, hazardous waste, environmental, etc.).
- Proven track record managing complex, high-exposure claims.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance detail and big-picture goals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced legal or insurance credentials (JD, CPCU, etc.) preferred.
- State adjuster licenses (or ability to obtain promptly).

Remote role, with preference for candidates in the Boston or Philadelphia area (for occasional planned travel).
- Open to candidates in Eastern or Central time zones.
