Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's finance team and support several critical portfolios. This position plays a vital role in financial oversight, planning, and strategic analysis within a non-profit environment. A strong background in FP&A and restricted funding experience is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a finance business partner for assigned portfolios, providing financial guidance and operational insight
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, budget variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Deliver accurate, timely reporting for stakeholders, including program directors and operational leaders
- Collaborate closely with both clinical and non-clinical teams, explaining financial concepts in simple, actionable terms
- Support the ERP implementation, contributing to data preparation and system testing
- Manage complex accounting tasks such as deferred revenue tracking, prepayments, and intercompany transactions
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and maintain well-documented records to support audit compliance
- Identify risks, propose solutions, and take ownership of outcomes with minimal supervision
Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience in the healthcare sector, ideally in non-profit settings with restricted funding exposure
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
- Advanced understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting specific to healthcare services
- Solid grasp of accounting principles, including deferred revenue and balance sheet management
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and readiness to support implementation phases
- Strong initiative, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently without constant direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for simplifying financial information
