Job Title: International Tax Manager
Location: Mississauga
Salary range: $120,000-130,000
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated Manager, International Tax to join a forward-thinking, global organization in the entertainment technology sector. This role is ideal for a CPA-designated tax professional with deep experience in U.S. and international tax compliance, transfer pricing, and tax structuring, especially in a multinational environment.
Reporting to the SVP, Tax & Treasury, the successful candidate will lead the international tax compliance function with a strong focus on U.S. corporate tax obligations, intercompany transactions, audit coordination, and process optimization. This role offers exposure to high-impact cross-border projects, corporate structuring initiatives, and M&A activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage international and U.S. tax compliance and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely filings
- Review and provide input on corporate income and indirect tax returns in multiple jurisdictions
- Prepare and support tax provisions under US GAAP; coordinate with Finance and external auditors as needed
- Lead the optimization of global corporate structures, including tax-efficient repatriation and rationalization of entities
- Assess and manage intercompany balances, withholding tax strategies, and permanent establishment risks
- Oversee and respond to international and U.S. tax audits, ensuring effective resolution and minimal business disruption
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on transfer pricing, policy development, and intercompany documentation
- Support M&A activities with a focus on due diligence, structuring, and tax integration planning
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead the implementation of automation or SAP-based enhancements
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA designation required
- 7–8+ years of experience in international tax, including U.S. corporate tax compliance, tax reporting, and structuring
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and multinational reporting environments
- Experience with SAP and advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas)
- Proven expertise in transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and permanent establishment risk assessment
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and manage complex, cross-border projects
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage with both internal stakeholders and external advisors
