Flexibility: Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)

Salary: $115-120,000


The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Accounting Manager to lead the financial oversight of multiple projects from development through operations. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to drive process improvements and financial transparency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project financial tracking by monitoring budgets, forecasts, and actuals across multiple initiatives.
  • Evaluate project profitability and generate variance reports highlighting budget deviations.
  • Provide financial oversight during both development and operational stages, ensuring continuity.
  • Partner with project managers to promote ownership of financial outcomes and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate with general accounting for support on transactional activities.
  • Develop and enhance project accounting processes and workflows to improve clarity and performance.
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies in current systems, particularly those involving remote team members.
  • Maximize the use of accounting systems for timely reporting and better decision-making.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for project financial inquiries, offering strategic insights to leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in project accounting, preferably in construction, real estate, or infrastructure.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, particularly budget vs. actual comparisons and margin reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Experience refining or implementing project accounting practices and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with operational and leadership teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA designation is a strong asset.
