We are seeking a Civil Senior Engineer (Project Manager) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant civil engineering experience and will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality civil infrastructure projects. This leadership role includes client management, budgeting, design oversight, staff supervision, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Manager or Senior Engineer and primary point of contact for clients.
- Plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects (site development, infrastructure, utilities, etc.).
- Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead and mentor engineering and technical staff; delegate and review work.
- Coordinate and approve proposals, pricing, and marketing strategies.
- Manage contract administration, including the development of engineering agreements.
- Develop and review construction cost estimates, reports, plans, and specifications.
- Analyze maps, surveys, reports, and test data to inform design decisions.
- Utilize CAD and design software to produce engineering drawings and documentation.
- Oversee QA/QC procedures and ensure compliance with internal quality systems.
- Attend client and project meetings (including occasional evening commitments).
- Monitor project billing, collections, and overall financial performance.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida
- Proven project management experience, including budgeting and team leadership
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in civil design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both public and private sector civil infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with Florida municipal and state permitting processes
