Director, Programmatic

Hybrid in NY OR fully remote

$65 to $70 an hour/1099

Position Overview

The Addressable Activation team serves as the company’s internal experts on platform operations, overseeing all aspects of campaign execution and optimization. As a Director, you will lead the performance and pacing of assigned brand accounts, customizing departmental processes to meet unique client needs. You’ll act as the key escalation point and trusted expert for complex campaign configurations, platform intricacies, and advanced optimization strategies. Success in this role requires deep proficiency across platforms such as DV360, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, Roku, Vistar, Facebook, Snapchat, and more. Leadership, mentorship, and strong communication skills are critical to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external clients.


Key Responsibilities

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mid-to-senior level client stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for resolving client challenges.

Vendor Management

  • Evaluate and approve vendor partnerships to ensure alignment with project needs.
  • Lead vendor selection and maintain oversight of vendor meetings, leveraging your expertise to inform decisions.

Campaign Management and Optimization

  • Adapt and implement departmental processes to meet client-specific goals and ensure consistent execution across campaigns.
  • Provide guidance on advanced campaign setups, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Vet vendor capabilities through RFIs and product demonstrations.

Reporting and Insights

  • Supervise the creation of reporting dashboards to ensure clear and accurate performance insights.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to effectively communicate campaign results to stakeholders.

Strategic Solutions and Innovation

  • Develop and implement long-term solutions, such as custom data management strategies, to drive business growth.
  • Lead strategic decision-making for client accounts, influencing budget allocation, staffing, and campaign direction.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage and mentor multiple teams, offering performance feedback and career development.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Operational Management

  • Establish and maintain departmental standards, processes, and communication protocols.
  • Develop and execute plans that align with broader organizational goals.


Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, mentoring staff, and effectively managing across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess and address critical tasks.
  • Expertise in resolving client issues, serving as the primary escalation point, and maintaining strong client relationships across business lines.
  • Advanced knowledge of ad tech platforms and measurement tools.
  • Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and project/account management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
