General Ledger Accountant – Hunting & Outdoors Industry

This is a great opportunity for a down-to-earth, hands-on accounting to join a stable and steadily growing company in the hunting and outdoors space. This is a laid back, humble group who are often in camo and ballcaps rather than business casual clothing but are serious about their work and have experienced significant growth.  The controller of the organization is excited to welcome an individual who embraces technology, is highly efficient, and is also not afraid to pitch in wherever is needed.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of all journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform daily accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Serve as backup for payroll processing.
• Assist operations with product inventory, especially during peak hunting seasons — no one is above any task.
• Identify ways to improve processes and work efficiently across accounting and operational tasks.
