The Operations Manager Position 

The Operations Manager leads Fisher Contracting’s “River Team”, responsible for the design, permitting, construction and monitoring of a variety of environmental remediation projects within the flood plain of the Tittabawassee and Saginaw Rivers. Additional responsibilities include reviewing and producing technical reports, managing budgets, prioritizing action items, and providing clear direction to the River Team.

The Operations Manager is critical in ensuring the success of the River Team and their relationship with a large client in the region. Long-term stability, fair work/life demands, and the opportunity to have a direct impact on a high-profile project are all key attributes of this position.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and ambitious project delivery professional to play a key role in the on-going success of this project.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Operations Manager Position 

• Prior construction operations experience is required
• Prior experience in environmental remediation is preferred, but not required
• Prior experience managing a diverse team of technical professionals
• Ability to set expectations and priorities for each team member
• Ability to understand the work and help resolve issues when executing it
