The Preconstruction Manager Position
The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Estimating in leading and coaching the Estimating team. In addition to leadership, the Preconstruction Manager is responsible for all aspects of the estimating function, including initial bid analysis through a go/no go review, plan review, subcontractor qualification, assembling bid information, assessment of both winning and losing bids, and maintaining estimating systems to include B2W Estimate and Salesforce. This position shall be supported by the Director of Estimating and the Preconstruction Manager - Civil. This position is also responsible for the creation and execution of the sales strategy for the region including the definition of preferred clients, and target jobs as well as pre-bid and post-bid sales activities designed to win the project.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Preconstruction Manager:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least seven (7) years of construction experience.
- Experience with mentoring or leading a team.
- Proficient in using Bid2Win estimating software or similar tool(s).
- Estimating medium-to-large commercial and industrial projects.
- Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.
