About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic People, Culture & Safety Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our client's team across multiple construction sites in Nova Scotia. This unique position blends human resources, organizational culture, and workplace safety, making it perfect for someone who is people-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional work environments.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the trusted point of contact for our site teams, ensuring smooth operations, engaged employees, and safe workplaces. Your responsibilities will include:

Recruitment & Onboarding – Manage postings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and deliver onboarding experiences that make a strong first impression.

Employee Support – Maintain accurate employee records, coordinate training programs, and help foster a positive and inclusive culture.

Safety Leadership – Support safety program rollouts, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Return-to-Work Coordination – Oversee the transition process for employees returning from leave, ensuring safety and support.

Engagement & Culture – Organize team events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives that build community.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Safety certifications such as NCSO, CSTS, or CRST (asset)
- Experience in HR, safety, or a combined role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels
- Proficiency with HRIS, Safety Management Systems, and Microsoft Office 365
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
