Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Pay Rate: Up to $49.84/hour

Duration: 6-month assignment

Hours: Full-Time

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)


Summary

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support recruiting activities and help deliver a seamless, positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.

This role will work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and Human Resources Business Partners to coordinate recruiting processes, manage candidate communications and scheduling, maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems, and support a variety of talent acquisition initiatives.


What You'll Do

  • Coordinate a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to facilitate the requisition process, including approvals, job postings, and recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate phone screens, webinars, and onsite and virtual interviews.
  • Schedule candidate travel and support expense reporting.
  • Coordinate employment and degree verifications, background checks, MVR checks, and reference checks, working with external vendors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, process flows, and recruitment information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Provide administrative support for talent acquisition activities and serve as a backup resource for HR Associates and Coordinators.
  • Generate and maintain talent acquisition reports and metrics to support recruitment strategies and decision-making.
  • Support candidate attraction efforts through job postings, social media, career fairs, university events, industry tradeshows, and conferences.
  • Support employment-branding initiatives and candidate engagement activities.
  • Participate in resume reviews, phone screens, reference checks, and other recruiting activities as needed.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within Talent Acquisition, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working with multiple Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Workday experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience using SharePoint and Zoom.
  • Experience within a life sciences organization is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines, manage ambiguity, and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly through email and phone interactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across multiple functions and with hiring managers.
