Faculty Development Fellow
Compensation: Guaranteed, competitive salary—commensurate with experience and negotiable based on GME or fellowship training.
Job Type: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Includes: 2 clinic days, 1 precepting day, and dedicated time for GME-focused administrative duties. No overnight call required unless opting into OB or inpatient adult medicine coverage.
Our client, a respected medical center in Georgia, is seeking a Family Medicine Faculty Development Fellow to join their expanding academic team. This unique role offers the opportunity to deliver full-spectrum patient care while gaining hands-on faculty development experience in a supportive, learner-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full-spectrum Family Medicine continuity care in an outpatient clinic setting
- Actively participate in the education of residents through: Precepting clinical activities, Delivering didactic lectures, Collaborating with core faculty on program projects, Supporting program development and innovation, Creating and delivering curriculum.
- Teach and supervise residents providing low-risk prenatal and postpartum care
- Participate in the supervision and teaching of residents in inpatient care and low-risk obstetrics
- Demonstrate a strong interest in graduate medical education and a commitment to learning the foundational principles of GME
- Participate in a structured Faculty Development Curriculum, including: Assigned activities, Online coursework, Feedback and instruction from faculty mentors.

Job Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency by start date
- Board-certified or board-eligible through ABFM or AOBFM
- Eligible for Georgia medical licensure or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
- In good standing with current employer or residency/fellowship program
- Willingness to supervise residents in outpatient care and prenatal/postpartum care
- Optional: Interest in inpatient and OB teaching opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish/English

- Open to family medicine trained candidates with additional training/fellowships.
- Candidates are not required to have faculty experience; they will be trained on the job.
