Mesan Locks / Essentra Components has an opening for the position of ‘Head of HR, Turkey’ based in Silivri, reporting to the EMEA HR Director.

 

The role of Head of HR, Turkey is to provide professional support and guidance to the site leadership teams as appropriate, whilst also managing all HR activities for Turkey.

 

The role will act as a Business Partner, providing solid coaching and development to leaders and managers at each site, to promote management ownership and good practice of people management. This is a full generalist role which includes supporting site management across a broad range of people issues including talent management, employee engagement and well-being, management capability, resourcing, employee relations and training and development. The role will also involve leading and/or taking part in the delivery of a number of HR projects and programmes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring adherence to group and regional policies and procedures and also compliance with relevant country legislative requirements
  • Working with leadership teams to ensure positive and proactive employee relations with the unions and works councils locally
  • Act as business partner and coach to on site leadership teams to improve leadership capability
  • To support resourcing with key recruitment as appropriate at all levels up to management appointments
  • Managing the Company pay and reward processes in conjunction with Group Reward
  • Involvement in HR projects as directed, including organisational development and design work
  • Taking the lead on change management initiatives locally as appropriate
  • Support the implementation of both HR and Business Information systems (e.g ERP replacement, HRIS implementation)
  • Supporting and leading locally the Talent Management/Development process within the business.
  • Manage employee engagement survey & activities and support the engagement action plans for each business function that is supported
  • Drive the data collection, verification and submission for the annual HR processes such as – Talent, Merit & Bonus, engagement survey etc
  • Championing the Compliance agenda locally and assuming the role of Site Compliance Officer (SCO) alongside HR role
  • Weekly reporting activity to HRD Components Europe on main HR activities and developments.
  • Maintenance of Ceridian HR system in countries of responsibility
  • Any other duties as required from time to time by the HR Director Components Europe, consistent with the skills, experience and competency of the job-holder

 

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Proven stand-alone HR Generalist experience ideally within an operational environment
  • Comfortable with working in a fast paced, hands on environment, often reactive
  • A numerate, commercially driven self-starter, with a practical business oriented style and the personality and skill-set to manage an HR service across multi-sites
  • Good influencing skills are essential
  • Strong understanding of Turkish employment law and works council/ union experience
  • Knowledge of safety, quality and continuous improvement techniques
  • Ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders across the business
  • Job-holder must be willing to travel on a regular basis to other Essentra Components sites as required in the course of their duties
  • Previously worked within manufacturing is an advantage
  • Business or HR related degree (or related qualification at an equivalent level)
