About the Role
The Special Projects team exists to turn bold, ambiguous ideas into high-leverage bets that accelerate our mission. As a Special Projects Manager, you’ll work on a diverse range of fast-moving initiatives at the edge of the company’s growth strategy and a priority for the company’s CEO — including launching new retail channels, exploring ecosystem integration opportunities, activating 100 Healthy Cities, and even creating guerrilla assets for alpha and beta audiences.
This role is part generalist operator, part internal strategist, part builder, and part creator. You’ll work across teams to pressure-test 0→1 ideas and help scale the ones that work. Expect visibility, complexity, ambiguity and velocity from day one.
You Will
- Design and execute growth experiments across health, retail, and partnerships — tackling ambiguous, 0→1 opportunities with no existing playbook.
- Drive the 100 Healthy Cities initiative, bringing vision, persistence, and energy to launch our first cohort of mayors while adapting to the pace and requirements of public sector programming.
- Create guerrilla assets, producing alpha (internal) and beta (friends & family) assets that prioritize speed, creativity, and authenticity — leveraging AI where relevant while avoiding resource‐heavy polish.
- Integrate AI across workflows to elevate strategic thinking, expedite outcomes, and push the boundaries of how the company operates.
- Build relationships with internal leaders and teams to earn trust, secure resourcing, and align on execution — we do nothing in a silo.
- Bring clarity to ambiguity, structure to chaos, and momentum to big bets.
You Are
- A self-motivated, high-energy, and creative generalist who thrives in ambiguity and moves fast without waiting for direction.
- Energized by working closely with civic leaders and community partners, even when progress requires patience and persistence.
- Intellectually curious, detail-obsessed, and relentlessly focused on impact.
- A thoughtful relationship builder who leads with trust and collaboration to get things done.
- An early adopter and systems thinker, constantly looking for ways to apply tools like AI to improve both strategic and operational work.
- Comfortable operating in an environment where the answer isn't always obvious — and that’s what excites you.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience — consulting, operating, venture, or startup experience a plus but not required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
- Deep interest in health, wellness, consumer behavior, and emergent technologies.
Bonus If You:
- Have experience working with government leaders, nonprofits, or community organizations.
- Have supported pilots, launches, or scrappy cross-functional initiatives.
- Have applied AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, automation, data enrichment, etc.) to improve work in real settings or create assets.
- Have exposure to healthcare, CPG, public health, or growth-stage consumer platforms.
Growth Path
This is a 12–24 month rotational role, designed to give you deep exposure across the company’s most important growth initiatives. Our ideal outcome? You graduate into a specialized internal role in growth, ops, marketing, partnerships, or product — wherever your superpowers shine.
