Role: Chief of Staff

Location: New York City (strong preference; international travel expected)

Salary: $200,000 – $240,000 base salary + meaningful equity upside

About our client:

Our client is a values-driven investment firm operating as a single-family office, founded by a serial entrepreneur who previously built and exited a company in one of the largest acquisitions in the hospitality tech space. They focus on building and scaling high-growth, consumer-facing businesses across technology, hospitality, insurance, and crypto sectors. One of their core operating ventures is an international restaurant development platform that holds exclusive rights to expand a well-known American restaurant franchise across multiple countries.

The company does not follow a typical franchise model—instead, they own and operate every store, allowing them full operational control and significantly higher returns. With a projected $40M–$50M revenue run rate by the end of 2025 and a path toward a $1B+ valuation within 5–7 years, they are executing a high-growth, international rollout with a lean, high-caliber team.

Position Overview:

The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic and operational right hand to the Senior Partner, overseeing cross-country coordination, strategic initiative execution, and high-priority problem solving. This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building from scratch, and wants to be part of an ambitious business scaling globally. The successful candidate will own strategic operations, lead market entry planning, and drive execution across teams in Canada, Australia, and future markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex strategic initiatives from planning through execution across departments and markets
  • Own the OKR process and drive accountability for project deliverables with local teams
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-country efforts to ensure consistent execution
  • Optimize supply chain, improve kitchen operations, and oversee cost efficiency projects
  • Lead the end-to-end process for entering new international markets (e.g., legal, accounting, construction vendor selection)
  • Represent the company in strategic meetings, vendor negotiations, and investor communications
  • Serve as the operational counterpart to the Senior Partner, handling key initiatives without constant oversight

Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of total experience in strategy and operations
  • Background in management consulting (MBB preferred) or investment banking combined with hands-on operating experience
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and complex projects from zero to one
  • Analytical and systems thinker with strong business judgment
  • Experience working across different time zones, cultures, and regulatory environments
  • Executive presence with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bonus: Experience in restaurant, retail, or multi-unit operations (especially owned-and-operated models like Chipotle)

What they offer:

  • $200,000 – $240,000 base salary
  • Meaningful equity upside in a rapidly scaling business
  • Executive-level scope and visibility from day one
  • Opportunity to help build an international brand from the ground floor
  • High-growth environment with direct path to COO/President role
  • Travel opportunities across global markets (Canada, Australia, future countries)
