Role: Solutions Engineer
Location: Mountain View, CA (In-Office)
Salary/Compensation: $140k–$200k base + equity
Our client is a frontier AI company building secure infrastructure for voice generation and deepfake detection. They support government agencies, telcos, and Fortune 500 customers with mission-critical AI security solutions.
With unique dual capabilities in AI voice generation and detection, they occupy a defensible market position in an emerging sector where deepfake security is becoming critical.
Position Overview:
The Solutions Engineer will be the technical bridge between engineering and enterprise customers. Reporting to the CTO, this role owns pre-sales technical consultation, post-sales deployment support (cloud & on-prem), troubleshooting, and translation of customer requirements into actionable engineering input. The hire will enable faster deployments, reduce CTO time on routine customer calls, and build scalable documentation and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join customer calls to scope integrations and resolve technical blockers
- Lead post-sales deployments using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes (cloud & on-prem)
- Troubleshoot networking, infrastructure, and API integration issues (subnets, namespaces, security)
- Translate customer requirements into clear engineering/product feedback
- Create deployment guides, internal knowledge base, and repeatable processes
- Partner with sales, product, and engineering to accelerate adoption
Qualifications:
✅ You likely fit if you:
- Have 5+ years software engineering experience with production code
- Possess strong infrastructure skills: Kubernetes, Docker, cloud architecture
- Understand APIs, networking fundamentals, and production deployments
- Have experience interfacing with customers or external technical stakeholders
- Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
- Thrive in ambiguous, high-ownership startup environments
❌ This role is not for you if:
- You prefer pure backend engineering without customer contact
- You require heavy structure, process, or predictable role boundaries
- You’re uncomfortable joining customer or sales calls
- You lack hands-on Kubernetes / infrastructure experience
- You cannot work onsite in Mountain View
