Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quantitative Researcher to join a global team focused on Commodities Model Research, Data Analytics, and Risk Solutions. This role involves building analytical tools, developing data pipelines, and supporting trading strategies through market positioning analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantitative research on commodities futures markets, including data exploration and model development.
- Design and maintain data pipelines (ETL) for processing large-scale market and positioning datasets.
- Build analytical models & visualization dashboards to support trading and risk decisions.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and technology teams to enhance research infrastructure.
- Focus on market positioning analytics to generate actionable insights.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working with commodities futures data (e.g., price, positioning, flows).
- Strong Python skills, including proficiency with data science libraries (numpy, pandas, Jupyter, Plotly, etc.).
- Experience with ETL pipelines and data processing at scale.
- Familiarity with Linux-based development (cloud experience is a plus).
- Solid foundation in statistics, data science, and quantitative modeling.
- Knowledge of trading systems & portfolio management is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in commodities trading, macro research, or systematic strategies.
- Experience with risk analytics, backtesting, or signal generation.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and distributed computing.
