Position Overview

UHC Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-funded, multi-site Community Care Center in the San Antonio area. The organization is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, comprehensive outpatient primary care services to pediatric patients. This position offers a strong work-life balance with no nights or weekends required. The role works collaboratively with a supervising physician and adheres to established clinical protocols. This position reports to the Director of Pediatrics and plays a key role in delivering accessible, patient-centered care across multiple clinic locations.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $135,000 – $145,000 annually (commensurate with experience and role)
  • Additional productivity bonus potential and negotiable sign-on incentives

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral of patients in an outpatient setting
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with clinical findings and in consultation with a supervising physician
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records, ensuring all patient encounters are documented and closed within 24 hours
  • Ensure continuity of care by managing patient needs in alignment with clinic schedules and scope of practice and training
  • Coordinate and refer patients for specialty care, diagnostic testing, and ancillary services as appropriate
  • Review and interpret lab and imaging results promptly, making appropriate clinical decisions
  • Meet productivity standards while maintaining efficient patient flow and minimizing disruptions to schedules
  • Deliver excellent patient-centered service through in-person, phone, and electronic communication
  • Support training and mentorship of medical students and clinical staff as appropriate
  • Adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in community health promotion, education, and prevention programs, as well as staff meetings and organizational activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Board Certification required: PNCB, AANP, or ANCC (NP) OR NCCPA (PA)
  • Active, unrestricted Texas license:
  • Nurse Practitioner (Texas Board of Nursing) or
  • Physician Assistant (Texas Medical Board)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
  • Continuing medical education as required by specialty board
  • Previous pediatric experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Flexibility with work hours and clinic locations
