About the Role

As a DevOps/Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and automating DATAMARK’s next-generation, cloud-native NG9-1-1-as-a-Service platform. You’ll lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes deployment workflows, and observability systems that drive reliability and speed across our engineering organization. This is an opportunity to influence how mission-critical technology is delivered nationwide—while collaborating with a highly skilled team of engineers and architects.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or ArgoCD.
• Develop and maintain secure, reusable container build processes and base images.
• Automate Kubernetes deployment workflows using Helm, Kustomize, or GitOps patterns.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure tested, production-ready artifacts across all environments.
• Instrument systems for observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Fluent Bit.
• Manage secrets, configurations, and access controls consistently across environments.
• Contribute to incident response and post-incident reliability improvements.
• Partner with the Solutions Architect to align DevOps practices with system design and reliability goals.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE roles—ideally in cloud-native environments.
• Strong experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration in production.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible).
• Proficiency in shell scripting and at least one high-level language (Python, Go, or PowerShell).
• Experience with observability and logging tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Fluent Bit, Grafana).
• Familiarity with GitOps, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience with ArgoCD, Flux, or similar GitOps tooling.
• Knowledge of service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and Kubernetes network policies.
• Background in CI/CD security and supply chain hardening (SLSA, SBOMs).
• Certifications such as CKA/CKAD, Terraform Associate, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
• Experience supporting high-availability or regulated software environments.
