Kaivac, Inc., an award-winning manufacturer of professional cleaning systems, is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability across our existing product lines. Based in Hamilton, OH, Kaivac serves customers in K-12, higher education, healthcare, food service, and retail with equipment designed to improve health, safety, and productivity.
What You’ll Do
- Lead root cause analysis and drive product reliability improvements
- Develop and maintain documentation (ECOs, BOMs, CAD drawings, DOE test reports)
- Collaborate with manufacturing on process optimization, DFM/DFA, and Kaizen events
- Support supply chain by evaluating and qualifying alternative components
- Translate customer feedback into actionable engineering solutions
- Partner with regulatory and testing bodies to ensure UL/CE compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Electromechanical also considered)
- 3–5 years of experience in sustaining, manufacturing, or product support engineering
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, Solid Edge, 3D modeling)
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding and rotational molding
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 standards, Lean/Kaizen, UL/CE, and DOE testing
- Strong documentation, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
