System Implementation Engineer-Systems Administration

About the Role
We’re looking for a System Implementation Engineer to join our client's growing Operations team. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our project/service teams and our clients—ensuring our proprietary NG911 software suite (911 Software) is properly implemented, tested, and supported. If you love troubleshooting, collaborating, and improving processes to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Work with project and service teams to implement and test DDT’s products and services.
- Install and configure our NG911 software suite internally (for testing) and externally (for customers).
- Lead documentation and execution of implementation and test plans across internal, staging, and production environments.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth rollouts.
- Identify opportunities to improve deployment efficiency, quality, and robustness.
- Provide software and deployment feedback to Product Owners.
- Participate in DDT team meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (or higher) in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear instructions.
- Excellent time management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a drive for efficiency and reliable solutions.
- Willingness to collaborate in a team environment and continuously learn new technologies.
- Flexibility to support prescheduled after-hours work.
Required Technical Skills
- Software installation and IT support fundamentals (systems administration, networking, hardware, security).
- Microsoft 365, SSMS, MS SQL Server 2012+, and PowerShell.
- Network architecture and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
Preferred Technical Skills
- GIS data and methods.
- Windows Server 2012 R2 or later.
- Knowledge of NENA i3 NG9-1-1 standards.
- Experience with Ansible and/or Octopus Deploy.
