Director of Key Accounts โ€“ Innovative Beauty & Lifestyle Brand


๐Ÿ“ Location: Hybrid (Los Angeles, CA โ€“ In-Office & Remote)


About the Role

This role will lead the charge on key and specialty wholesale partnerships, working with some of the worldโ€™s most influential beauty retailers. As Director of Key Accounts, youโ€™ll develop and implement sales strategies, manage account performance, forecast sales, and ensure seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams. Youโ€™ll act as the central contact between internal stakeholders and external retailer partners, driving brand growth and visibility while ensuring operational excellence.


What Youโ€™ll Do

๐Ÿ› Account Management โ€“ Oversee and grow key retail partnerships; build strong relationships with merchants, marketing, education, and planning teams.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Strategic Planning & Forecasting โ€“ Develop tailored strategies per account, create sales forecasts, track against targets, and provide monthly business reviews.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Order Management โ€“ Own the purchase order lifecycle, maintain accurate shipment files, and align with planning and logistics teams.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Budget Oversight โ€“ Manage operating spend, track promotional deductions, and ensure gross-to-net accuracy.

๐ŸŽฏ Launch & Promotion Planning โ€“ Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to execute campaigns and product launches in alignment with brand goals.

๐Ÿ“Š Performance Analysis โ€“ Recap promotions and marketing investments, track ROI, and identify opportunities for growth.

๐Ÿ” Market Insights โ€“ Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform account strategy.


What Youโ€™ll Bring

โœ”๏ธ 5+ years of experience in sales, trade, or account management within the beauty industry (experience with Sephora, Mecca, and Space NK is required)

โœ”๏ธ Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, sales analytics, and merchandising

โœ”๏ธ Exceptional communication and negotiation skills

โœ”๏ธ Ability to manage budgets and drive profitable growth across retail partners

โœ”๏ธ Highly collaborative, organized, and strategic with a solutions-oriented mindset

โœ”๏ธ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
