About the Opportunity:
Procurement Associate
As a procurement associate, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement team in dealing with local and international suppliers, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for the organization. You will work closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products at the best possible price.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement: Support development of domestic and international suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and other factors.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Purchase Orders: Generate purchase orders accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly to ensure smooth operations.
- Inventory Management: In conjunction with Inventory Team, monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and coordinate with Logistics personnel to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, implementing strategies to drive efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies, in all procurement activities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications, ensuring proper documentation and archiving.
- Reporting: Prepare reports and analysis on procurement activities, including spending patterns, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and logistics, to support their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience in procurement workflows, and inventory administration.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing procurement practices.
