JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:

National Retail Sales Manager / Business Development Director (Frozen Food / Seafood / CPG)

(Title can be adjusted based on candidate seniority)

Company:

VG Trading USA Inc. — U.S. representative office of VICI / Vičiūnai Group, one of the largest seafood & frozen food manufacturers in Europe (global production, exporting to 80+ countries).

Location:

United States (preferably East Coast: NJ / NY / FL, but open for other states)

Hybrid / Remote — frequent travel to retailers & brokers.


Mission / Goal of the role

We are looking for a highly connected sales professional who can quickly introduce and place VICI products into U.S. retail grocery chains.

This is NOT a learning role.

We need someone who already knows supermarket buyers and decision makers and can deliver results fast.


Key responsibilities

  • Open new accounts with supermarket chains and distributors (regional and national).
  • Present VICI product portfolio to buyers and secure listings.
  • Leverage existing personal buyer network to speed up product entry.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle end-to-end:

samples → pricing → presentations → negotiations → listing → promotion plan

  • Work with brokers, distributors, and 3PL warehouses to ensure execution.
  • Align with marketing on tasting events, trade shows, TPR, campaigns, and shelf activation.
  • Monitor competitive environment: pricing, shelf share, promotion strategy.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline, and activity reports directly to the CEO (U.S.).


 

 

Requirements (MUST HAVE)

  • Proven sales experience in frozen food / seafood / CPG retail.
  • Existing buyer relationships — for example:

Publix, HEB, Key Food, Bravo, ShopRite, Wegmans, Kroger, Walmart, Costco

  • Experience working with brokers and distributors (KeHE, UNFI, etc.).
  • A track record of opening accounts and closing deals.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, results-oriented, hunter mentality.

If you do not already have buyer contacts, this role is NOT a fit.


Nice to have

  • Knowledge of retail promotion planning (TPR, tastings, demos, marketing funds).
  • Experience launching imported brands into the U.S. market.


Compensation

The compensation package for this role is flexible, as we are targeting experienced, high-level professionals with strong U.S. retail relationships. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, current earnings, and the value they can bring to our U.S. expansion.
