Hands-on Accounting Manager – Growing & Complex Company with Multiple Divisions – Significant Bonus Potential

Elevate is partnering with a rapidly growing company in Springfield, Missouri to hire their next Accounting Manager because of organic growth and internal promotions. This role will take ownership for accounting for multiple entities, each with its own intellectually challenging nuances from an accounting standpoint. This is a stunningly profitable business focused on long-term growth. This role will be instrumental in helping the leadership team maintain strong financial oversight across their varies entities and the owner is looking to hire a future leader who can roll up their sleeves today and earn growth into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Take personal ownership for the monthly close process across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness — the company takes pride in completing a full close within approximately five business days each month.
• Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vendor payments, customer invoicing, and employee compensation, while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate and complete the annual financial audit, providing all necessary documentation and support in a timely and organized manner.
• Implement process that can improve efficiency and accuracy within the accounting and finance departments.
• Work directly with the owner on important projects that will unlock revenue creation and cost saving opportunities; this company is searching for a difference maker.
