Spirehouse are recruiting for a Property Litigation Solicitor in relation to a leading regional law firm in the West Midlands.

 

The Opportunity:

 

You will advise on a broad range of contentious property matters across both residential and commercial property portfolios. 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and supportive team where you will manage your own caseload while also contributing to larger, high-value disputes.

Role Overview:


Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Commercial lease disputes (forfeiture, dilapidations, rent arrears, break notices, etc.) 
  • Residential landlord and tenant matters 
  • Boundary disputes and rights of way 
  • Adverse possession and nuisance claims 
  • Title and ownership issues 
  • Drafting correspondence, pleadings, witness statements and other court documents. 
  • Advising clients clearly and commercially, managing their expectations effectively. 
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings. 
  • Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements:


  • Solicitors from 2 years PQE to Senior Associate
  • Exposure to both residential and commercial disputes is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law and general property litigation principles. 
  • Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision. 
  • Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to provide clear, strategic legal advice. 
  • Good drafting and advocacy skills. 
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive attitude to business development.
