Material Handler


Location: Lexington, KY

Contract: 6-month contract-to-hire


Shift Schedule and Pay:



Weekday Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM ($0.50/hr differential)



Weekend Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM ($2.00/hr differential)
  • 2nd Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM ($3.00/hr differential)



Base Pay: $18/hr


Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for supplying raw materials from the warehouse to manufacturing and moving raw materials throughout the facility.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supply raw materials from the warehouse to manufacturing based on work orders.
  • Unload raw materials from delivery trucks and move them to designated warehouse locations.
  • Perform inventory transfers in the inventory control system.
  • Replenish finished goods from manufacturing to warehouse locations.
  • Supply inventoried items based on Inventory Request Forms.
  • Move short-dated products to quarantined locations and update inventory records.
  • Process scrap forms, pull materials, and dispose of materials following company guidelines.
  • Participate in physical inventories.
  • Maintain a valid forklift certification.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or relevant manufacturing/warehouse experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedural documents.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to perform basic high school-level mathematical operations.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email communication, and Windows OS.
