Machine Repair Maintenance Technician (Permanent/Direct Hire Position)

Location: Elkton, MI

Schedule: 2nd shift (3pm – 11pm)

Compensation: $33.86/hour + $0.60/hour premium for 2nd shift

Shift and Pay

  • Hourly Rate: $33.86/hr
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (+$0.60/hr shift premium)
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (+$0.75/hr shift premium)



Job Summary

As a Machine Repair Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning machines (e.g., transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and cables)
  • Replace damaged or faulty electrical components (e.g., relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices)
  • Test malfunctioning machinery and coordinate with personnel from production, maintenance, and tool room departments to determine root causes
  • Dismantle machines and equipment to access and resolve issues
  • Inspect and measure parts to identify wear, misalignment, or other problems
  • Remove and replace worn or broken parts



Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with large metal stamping presses
  • Proficiency working with robotic welding machines (especially Fanuc)
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with steel, iron, aluminum, and other metals
  • Maintenance Tech Journeyman card or at least 8 years of verifiable maintenance experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
