PAY: $60–70/hr | Contract-to-Direct Hire

SCHEDULE: 9/80 Work Schedule | Full Benefits Package

About the Role

As a Senior Electrification Engineer, you’ll design functional, reliable, and cost-effective high-voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles. This role blends engineering analysis, system design, and integration support for vehicle control and embedded systems. You’ll contribute to both new product development and redesigns of existing platforms, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating across disciplines.

Your Impact

  • Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and project tasks in line with industry standards.
  • Design and integrate electrical components and circuitry into heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Provide technical support for prototype, pilot, and production builds—resolving manufacturing issues when needed.
  • Collaborate internally with engineering and business teams, and externally with suppliers.
  • Guide and mentor entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Manage projects or project components of limited complexity, sometimes handling multiple projects at once.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with established processes.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of high voltage engineering experience
  • Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN (Controller Area Network) and SAE J1939 protocol.
  • Automotive High Voltage Training/Certifications.
  • Knowledge of power electronics, machines, and energy storage systems.

Core Competencies

  • Collaboration: Frequent interaction with peers; occasional supplier communication.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to interpret technical and business documentation.
  • Problem-Solving: Requires sound judgment to adapt established practices.
  • Leadership: May act as a lead worker, providing instruction and reviewing work of others.

Top Requirements

  • Direct vehicle electrification experience—even limited exposure is valuable.
  • Proven success integrating high-voltage components within vehicles.
  • Experience with electro-hydraulic pump integration (or similar systems).
  • Strong systems-level, whole-vehicle perspective (not just component-level).
  • Defense industry experience a plus (fuel economy, weapons integration, payload management).

Why Join Us?

  • Work on a wide variety of vehicles, products, and applications.
  • Make a direct impact on the future of vehicle electrification.
  • Competitive hourly pay, full benefits, and long-term career opportunity.
