Position Title: Product Support Specialist – Weapon Systems Test

100% onsite in Maple Grove, MN

Long-term contract to direct

$41.72/hr and OT eligible

Will need to obtain US Security Clearance down the road



Position Overview:

The Product Support Specialist will work within a Weapon Systems Test Team, collaborating closely with engineers and technicians to support a wide variety of programs and development projects. This position offers a high degree of autonomy in performing assigned tasks and assignments. Products supported may range from early-stage development through mature, fielded systems.

The Product Support Specialist will work as part of cross-functional teams, developing collegial relationships grounded in trust and integrity. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical experience, dedicated to going above and beyond when necessary to ensure project success. Prior experience in the military and with data acquisition systems is highly valued. The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret Clearance is required for this position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support engineers and technicians across a broad range of weapon systems projects and development phases
  • Independently manage and execute assigned tasks and assignments
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, communicating effectively to resolve complex technical issues
  • Accept field assignments and associated travel to various test locations as needed
  • Take ownership of high-level requirements and technical problems, ensuring timely resolution
  • Work collaboratively in a team setting, fostering trust and effective communication


Required Skills:

  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
  • Proven ability to manage and execute assigned tasks independently
  • Strong relationship-building skills and effective communication to resolve technical problems
  • Willingness to accept field assignments with travel
  • Experience integrating and testing shipboard equipment
  • Familiarity with systems such as:
  • Vertical Launching Systems (VLS)
  • VLS Canisters
  • Adaptable Deck Launching System
  • Aegis Ashore
  • Mk 57 VLS
  • Mk 70 Payload Delivery System (PDS)
  • Other missile launching system products


Knowledge of and experience with:

  • Instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Weapons system development
  • Precision machine tool processing and fabrication
  • Ammunition and explosive material experience, including relevant training
  • Electrical and mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair
  • Vehicle and power equipment maintenance and repair


Required Experience:

  • Typically requires an associate’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of defense-related experience in engineering, manufacturing, design, test, or field service environments
  • Demonstrated ability to identify design and performance problems and to lead project teams


Required Education:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, as outlined above
