Administrative Support Specialist

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Pierside Location)

Contract: 12 months, with possible extension or direct hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (some overtime required)

Compensation: $22.49/hour, with optional benefits



Summary

We are seeking a dedicated team member to provide support for administrative routines at our Jacksonville, FL Pierside location. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and outstanding organizational abilities. A positive, proactive attitude is essential to take on the day-to-day responsibilities of this role.



Core Responsibilities

  • Generate purchase requisitions
  • Track purchase orders through to delivery
  • Enter received material into Oracle or similar systems
  • Develop job assignment authorizations
  • Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets
  • Create and manage job workbooks
  • Receive and log packages (inbound and outbound)
  • Prepare, load, pack, label, and ship items for delivery or pickup according to schedule
  • Process pre-packaged outgoing shipments; ensure accuracy, completeness, timely delivery, accountability, and condition of shipments
  • Act as on-site point of contact for end users regarding shipping and receiving support
  • Escort delivery personnel and special equipment as needed



Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role
  • Experience with database entry
  • Demonstrated customer service experience



Preferred Experience

  • Additional administrative or logistics support experience is a plus



Required Education

  • High school diploma or GED
