POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and grow our Electrical Testing & Maintenance business. This Electrical Testing & Maintenance Manager will provide business, managerial, and technical direction to technicians and customers while supporting operational leadership and business development. This role is focused on serving critical facilities in Connecticut, including hospitals, manufacturing facilities, data centers, commercial, industrial, and major infrastructure environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the Electrical Testing subject matter expert.
• Grow recurring revenue within the testing and maintenance business.
• Coordinate technical training for field personnel and assist with career development.
• Oversee the general supervision, safety, and technical training of Field Technicians.
• Develop and review proposals and review field technicians’ reports.
• Maintain responsibility for sales, profit, and quality performance.
• Make regular sales calls on existing major accounts and establish contact with new accounts.
• Prepare proposals and service contracts for testing and maintenance services.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to promote new business opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of five years of similar experience in the industrial service industry.
• Strong communication, supervisory, organizational, and management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with clients, peers, subordinates, and leadership.
• Strong computer skills, including editing, formatting, and using templates in Microsoft Word, internet research for standards/products/manufacturers, and operation of computer-controlled test equipment.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Four-year degree, graduate of an Electrical Technical School, or military equivalent; BSEE/BSEET preferred.
• Level 1+ NETA or NICET Certification preferred.
